This forum is managed by Voice Collective, a UK-wide London-based project that supports children and young people who hear voices, see visions, have other ‘unusual’ sensory experiences or beliefs. If you want to find out more about us or get some additional support, please email infoatvoicecollectivedotcodotuk or see our website (www.voicecollective.co.uk).
However, we haven't created this forum alone. We would like to thank the following partners for their support:
Hearing the Voice is a large interdisciplinary study of voice-hearing, based at Durham University and funded by the Wellcome Trust. Their international research team includes academics from cognitive neuroscience, English Literature, cultural studies, medical humanities, philosophy, linguistics, psychology, psychiatry and theology. They also work closely with clinicians, voice-hearers and other experts by experience.
Inspired by the wishes of the young people involved in their Listen Up! creative arts project in the North East, Hearing the Voice have kindly funded the forum software. This has enabled us to set up a forum that we hope is easy to use and accessible on mobile devices.
The English Hearing Voices Network is a small charity that supports people who hear voices, see visions and have other similar sensory experiences by awareness raising, media work and supporting the development of peer support groups.
HVN is supporting the first year of the forum's development, helping us to set up and facilitate it.
